Qualification Rankings Update – July 26th

This is the biggest Disc Golf World Tour qualification rankings update so far – We have a new #1! Ricky Wysocki dethroned Paul McBeth, thanks to Wysocki’s great performance through the 1st half of the season which has only improved during the summer.

We’ve witnessed Ricky gaining up on McBeth little by little but with this last update he made a jump to claim the 1st spot for himself. Keys to Wysocki’s climb to the top were the last weekend’s European Masters champion title that he won after a battle with McBeth and the Estonian Open victory the week before the first PDGA Major of 2016 season.

Top 10 revised

Other big winners of this update are Paul Ulibarri and Karl Johan Nybo who both made it to the top 10. Ulibarri climbed impressively from 11th to 4th spot! Nybo has been making his way steadily towards the top 10 before taking over the last couple spots to secure his spot as #10 and at the same time bringing the total number of European players in the top 10 to three for the first time.

We saw some action within a grasping range of the top 10 as well. Juho Parviainen gained four spots and is now at 14th spot. But the biggest rise was made by the young gun Eagle McMahon, who was at 26th spot in the late-July update and is now sitting at 15th.

In this update the European Masters and Estonian Open 2016 points were added. European Open, Scandinavian Open and Estonian Open 2015 points expired. Check the rankings page for full rankings.

DGWT standings and qualification rankings explained

Please note that the DGWT qualification rankings and the DGWT standings are two separate things. The DGWT rankings refer to the qualification rankings, which include several significant disc golf events, e.g. DGWT events, National Tour, PDGA Majors, and many more. Rankings are used for qualification for DGWT events and are not the actual standings of the DGWT. More information about the DGWT rankings and standings available on the points system and rules pages.
