European Open 2017 Volunteer Accommodation

The European Open volunteers have an option of staying at school, which is located right next to the course. Volunteers can stay at the school for free.

The school accommodation isn’t luxurious but everything necessary for temporary accommodation is available at the school: toilets, showers, kitchen, and a quiet spaces for sleeping. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, water kettle, and necessary utensils. Tea and coffee will also be available. The lounge area next to the kitchen is usually full of fellow volunteers hanging out in the evenings after the tournament rounds. We’ll also provide some laundry detergent so you can wash your clothes by hand if necessary.

Volunteers will be divided to 3-5 separate rooms to sleep in. There are gym mattresses available for about 25 people but they aren’t very comfy as beds. We recommended that you bring your own mattress to sleep on.

You should bring anything that you’d take on a trip with you. Here are some additional things that you should take with you as well:

  • Bedding (sheets & blanket) or a sleeping bag. Pillow is recommended as well.
  • If you’re a light sleeper we recommend you to bring ear plugs and/or a sleep mask.
  • Towel and toiletry.
  • Clothes for all kinds of weather. (It can get pretty cold and wet in July but also very hot!)
  • Disc golf equipment. (If you want to play the Beast on Thursday.)

We’ll send more information about the accommodation closer to the event.
