European Open 2017 Wild Cards

The European Open became fully booked almost as soon as the phase 3 of registration started. Only way to get a spot in highlight event of the European disc golf season 2017 is by a wild card or through the waiting list. The wild card application is now available for all those who desire to test their mettle against the Beast in July.

13 Wild cards available

There are a total of 13 wild cards available for the European Open 2017. 12 of those wild cards are available through the wild card application and one of them is reserved for the player who shoots the lowest score in the European Amateur Open.

Players are welcome to apply for a wild card regardless of the division they want to participate in and there is no minimum rating limit to apply for a wild card. Even though the playing record has a very significant role other merits, e.g. overall contribution to the sport, are also taken into account when the wild card recipients are chosen.

Whether you’re looking to compete in the MPO or FPO division apply for a wild card here. It’s also a good idea to apply for a wild card even if you’re on the waiting list already.

At 119 players the MPO division is full and FPO division is likewise at full capacity. The 13 remaining spots of the 144 player field are reserved for wild cards. The waiting list registration at the Disc Golf United is still available until May 8th before the registration closes.
